We have a 5th wheel camper with a king cab 1 ton. The first site they led us to wasn't large enough for us to open up the slide out without hitting a tree. The second site they wanted me to pull in forward and then not be able to unhitch the truck. Finally after a lot of arguing with the owner, we got them to give a third spot which wasn't too bad overall.
Family friendly
It would have been nice if the grass wasn't 10 inches long and going to seed. Since Snuffy's is Right on the WI River, mosquitos tend to like long grass and will come out and eat you alive.
There were only about 5 other overnight campers there on Memorial day weekend which leads me to believe that word has gotten out that it isnt a great spot. There were at least 20 sites open.
Snuffy's caters more to seasonal campers. It used to be a Mobile Home park way back in the day and so many seasonal sites are 1940's-1980's mobile homes with a few campers mingled in. To be honest, most seasonal sites are upkept pretty well...since most of them mow their own lawns becasue they dont want to wait for the campground to do it.
Driveway large pot holes, old vehicles not licensed trees growing up through them, But the people are all friendly
The Overnight camping area could actually be a pretty nice place if the owners weren't so lazy and would clean the restroom/showers more often than once a decade and possibly clean the front office area so you were not greeted by overwhelming stench of baby diapers and dog pee that accompanies the visual mess of the office.
It is a decent campground but the bathrooms/showers are terrible but if you are seasonal it isn't so bad but for overnight then I wouldn't stay at the campground. Thanks for reading my review of it.
I am glad we had our own shower and bathroom in the camper, because I would NEVER step foot in the showers there. More mold and algae on the walls than paint. If you do need to use te restroom, take your own TP because there was none in the stalls at any time during the 4 days we were there.
Yard not mowed, very run down
Nasty Reception office and bathrooms. Grass hadn't been cut recently. Campsite are hard to distinguish.
