I was moved to the room that the DMV uses every 5th Wednesday of the month and put in a temporary work space during those times. A woman from the DMV got incredibly rude because "someone moved into" their space. I explained that my tables were in there and I didn't set up anything; I just worked out of there. The woman continued to get rude, berating me for maintenance having nothing set up for them.
I would prefer some compassion. I didn't choose where I work from, although I do appreciate the use of any work space and I do like the room. Maybe the DMV can use the gym or something since they are there so little, or in the very least not blame another employee for something that's not to their liking.
